This ultra high relief silver coin is a model of the meteorite impact in Vinales, Cuba, on February 1, 2019, produced with CIT's innovative smartminting technology.
The coin is the 16th release in the popular Meteorite Impact series.
The 2020 dated coin includes a genuine 2.5 mm segment of the Vinales Meteorite.
The coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver by the Mayer Mint.
The coin features a gorgeous ultra high relief proof finish.
Mintage is limited to 2,500.
Miniaturized Three-Dimensional Meteorite Strike
Obverse: The likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse, encircled by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "5 DOLLARS," "COOK ISLANDS" and "2020." This effigy, known as the fourth definitive coinage portrait, was crafted by acclaimed British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998.
Reverse: The reverse design is centered on the meteorite fragment, with mounds of sculpted earth around its final resting place. The three-dimensional representation demonstrates the dramatic meteorite impact, as it blazes a trail through the coin's edge, rim and surface. Inscriptions include "VINALES METEORITE," with "22?37'17? N" and "83?44'57? W," the earth coordinates of the impact.

All documents and bonus items included with the product must also be returned. If the product is not returned with all original packaging and bonus items, is incomplete, or is returned after the 30-day return period, the Company reserves the right not to accept the return or to accept the return subject to a 20% restocking fee, in the Company's sole discretion. All returns with a purchase price over 0 must include a Return Authorization Number.
