    Description

    Here is a beautifully restored 1950's Gamewell AMERICAN RED CROSS "Emergency" Call Box Telephone from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company.
    This is NOT a replica Gamewell Call Box. However a new professionally manufactured "telephone" and an "original porcelain" American Red Cross Identification Plate were used to complete the call box telephone.
    The Gamewell Call Box is made of cast aluminum (herculite). It has a locking front door with an attached Key Chain and Brass Key. The key is securely stored in its original Chicago Watch Clock Station Box attached to the front door (see pictures). The Call Box and Telephone have a powder coated finish (baked on enamel) and is professional lettered.
    Inside the Gamewell Call Box is a 1930 - 40's Western Electric Model 211 Telephone that has been converted for use on today's telephone system. This A.R.C. Call Box also features a working Top Light Assembly with a Ruby Red Glass Globe. The Top Light makes a great night light for your office, game room, den or other special area and is controlled by an "on-off" Line Cord Switch and plugs into regular household AC electrical service. Please note: A "VOIP" (voice over internet protocol) Telephone System such as available through Vonage or other internet carrier will require a converter not provided in this auction. This Gamewell American Red Cross Call Box Telephone will work fine with "regular" telephone service without a converter.
    The Gamewell American Red Cross Call Box Telephone has a one year limited warranty from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company and was professionally restored for "INDOOR USE ONLY".
