    Description

You are bidding on a SUPERB 1940's 1:300000 WW2 German Luftwaffe Fliegerkarte (Pilot Map) as used by both Fighter Pilots and Bomber crews for navigation.
    This map covers Middle Europe (Frankfurt/Koln), and is from a JG53 Veteran's Estate!  Measures a VERY NICE 32" x 40" (80cm x 100cm) size.
Ltn. Ernst-Albrecht Schultz was a 23 Victory Ace, who flew Me109's with 1/JG53 and 5/JG53, between 1940 and 1945.  His 1st victory was with 1/JG53 on May 14, 1940 (Fairy Battle), followed by various Hurricanes and Spitfires.
Made of paper with a linen background, this map is in EXCELLENT condition for its age. It measures a approx. 2.5 feet x 3.5 feet in size, and covers Middle Europe, including Frankfurt, Koln, Manheim, Wurzburg, and other major cities!  Indicates various locations of lakes, seas, towns, villages, cities, and elevations. Also features longitude and latitude degree markings.  This comes from the estate of
Ltn. Ernst-Albrecht Schultz (some books incorrectly spell his name as "Schulz"), and was obviously used in combat, as there are various hand-drawn flight plans and other markings on the map itself.
Though there are a few folds, marks, and stains, however, there are NO tears or damage!
A prominent 1.JG.53 Ink Stamp is featured, as well as the hand-written name "Schultz".  I have shown an exact image of Schultz in the last photo.
A VERY RARE and FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!
Please email me if you need additional photos or information.

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.
    ------------------- ABOUT ME -----------------
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
