Description
Dating to the 1920's this is an excellent piece of early tobacciana and black Americana history. Often called a fan hanger or fan pull these 7" round double-sided (identical both sides) cardboard signs were attached to the cord of the ceiling fans of general stores where Hambone Cigars were sold. The image is an imitation of the style of a particular artist with deliberate exaggeration for comic effectof the Charles Lindbergh flight across the Atlantic. The signs has its original hanging string still attached. This is an original, not a reproduction.
Please take note that there are some tan spots on the background also a few white spots on the lettering please look at all the pictures.
