    Description

This is a RARE item.  I dare you to find another like it.  My research on Heath Engineering in San Francisco found that built the huge siren that was housed in the Ferry Building in San Francisco that was a regular part of San Franciscan's day for decades.  I also found another siren that was redone in Pleasanton and was used to call the volunteer fire department.  I'm not sure of the history on this piece the motor by Burke Electric has a patent date of 1913.  When I found this at a flea market, the seller thought it had been used in a school.  The Civil Defense sticker on it is not original to it and could easily be removed. It still works and i measured it at 120 decibles.  It's a little over 18 inches tall and almost 50 lbs.
