"After a week of heavy figh
ting and marches, our situation has become hopeless. We have done our duty. Our fighting power has been reduced to a minimum and there is no hope of replenishment. According to the OKW, the Russians stand by the city of Baranovitschi. The last lines over the afterst stream are cut off from us. There is no hope of escaping from here with our strengths and means. Our associations are unregulated. A huge number of wounded people had to be abandoned without any help. The Russian High Command has promised: a) medical assistance for the wounded; (b) to keep the orders to the officers, the orders to the soldiers. We have been proposed to collect all weapons and weapons and deliver them unharmed; useless resistance. I order that the fight be stopped without any time. The local groups of 100 to 500 men gather under the escort of the officers or the most senior non-commissioned officers. The wounded are collected and taken away. We need to show discipline and attitude and start to do so as quickly as possible. This order shall be given in writing, in writing and by all means.
